S2K Introduction

Sanctuary 2000 is a modern era themed d2 expansion mod in
development. Events in this mod take place 2000 years after the events in
d2, after our characters defeated the demons, something went wrong and all
7 of them woke up in a strange new environment. To their surprise they
soon realized they are still in sanctuary just 2000 years later. As you can imagine being medieval characters in modern times they had some problems adapting but eventually they did except their wardrobe. |
| The environment will be truly different from what a diablo2 player is used to. Check our Screenshot for a glimpse of what the mod will look like. Act1 plays out in a modern big city environment, the game begins in a place where rogue encampment once was, this is now close to a police station and thus the place is crawling with cops instead of rogues. This includes the hireling as you can se in the image to the right. |  |

Back to our characters. The sorceress has become a famous movie star as you can se on the posters on the wall. She doesn't use magic anymore as her rifle is far more powerful. The druid enlisted in the army and became a chopper pilot, he will actually pilot a chopper in the game, this will be done by morph skills. However I will get to that later. Atm I am working on converting the environment. |
| In an urban environment you don't usually com across axes,
bows etc. However rifles are common.
There are several different rifles, most of them have a chance for a headshot resulting in instant death in most cases. Most rifles also have attachable accessories like the one in the image to the right has a grenade launcher attached to it. |

That's the end of this introduction. Now you have gotten a tiny glimpse of the mod concept, more details and concept ideas will follow although I mainly concentrate on the dev instead of the site atm. Feel free to post comments in our s2k Forum and screenshot section. Suggestions are also always welcome.
